Molarity vs Molality

Before you move on, make sure you are familiar with these concepts first: -Solutions -Molarity -Molality

A lot of people why we use Molarity and Molality - here are some reasons: On a practical level, Molarity is a bit easier to execute: weigh the amount of moles needed for the solution, and fill the solvent till it reaches the line on the measuring cylinder.

It is more inconvenient to find the mass of the solvent - and a bit redundant when using water for the volume and mass of water are approximately identical.

However, when it comes to different temperatures and pressures, the volume of solvents may change, resulting in a different concentration because the unit "Litres" may fluctuate. Hence, molality may be more accurate in such cases. Just a brief comparison to quench the thirst of curious learners!
